School Based Clinic | Austintown Schools St. Elizabeth Hospital Tod Children's Hospital Woman to Woman Youngstown City Health District The mission of the Youngstown City Health District is to protect and improve the public health of the local community. It directs it's programs toward carrying out the core public health functions of assessing the community, formulating policies and assuring the provision of public health services. The Health District's Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD)clinic screens, diagnoses and treats anyone having, suspected of having or exposed to someone having a sexually transmitted disease. The clinic offers client centered counseling to help a person reduce his/her risk for contracting or spreading HIV, which may or may not include taking a HIV test. Anonymous HIV Antibody testing, where the client will be associated with their results by number only, is available free of charge after the counseling session. Confidential testing is also offered. Walk in clinics are held every Tuesday and Friday from 12 noon till 2:00 p.m. There is a $20.00 fee for STD services. There is no cost for HIV testing and counseling. Well Child clinic sessions provide physical examinations, immunizations, social assessments and referrals. Walk in immunization clinics are held bi-monthly for school age children, college students and adults. These clinics are held every third Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.and 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and every fourth Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. till 3:00 p.m. Shots are available for numerous vaccine preventable diseases.
